Career-Focused Education
UAW/Chrysler Partnership
In partnership with UAW Chrysler, The Promise Zone launched a skilled trades training program in fall 2016. This UAW Chrysler School-to-Work Program currently enrolls 27 students from Hazel Park High School and the Hazel Park Alternative High School. Participating students spend half of each school day at the UAW Chrysler training center in Warren being trained in introductory skilled trades practices and other workplace preparation skills.
Project Lead the Way: Providing Transformative Learning Experiences
Project Lead The Way provides transformative learning experiences for Hazel Park Junior High and High School students. Our certified teachers create an engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empower students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills they need to engage in real-world learning.
Using the Project Lead the Way resources we offer Introduction to Engineering and Principles of Engineering at the High School taught by Jeff Spisak.
Oakland Technical Early College (OTEC)
Many of our students take advantage of this unique learning opportunity through Oakland Schools.
Accelerated College Experience (ACE)
The ACE program is an early college program for students enrolled at participating Oakland County high schools.
