About Hazel Park Junior High

Hazel Park Junior High School has a rich history in the city of Hazel Park. The school began as the old Hazel Park High School that was erected in 1929 and re-commissioned as Beecher Junior High School in the 1960s. The building was demolished and consolidated with Webb Junior High School for the newly built Hazel Park Junior High School in the early 2000s.

The current re-commissioned building houses students in grades 6-8 within Hazel Park and several neighboring cities. Students at Hazel Park Junior High School engage in a number of clubs and activities in addition to band and athletics, to coincide with a rigorous academic curriculum.
