Welcome to Hazel Park Junior High, home of the Patriots. At HPJH we strive to to meet the academic, social, emotional, health and physical needs of EVERY student! We believe the key to success is community. At HPJH we focus on 3 key elements: RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, and SAFETY. We celebrate our successes and work collaboratively to prepare our students for the future.

We are proud to have so many wonderful family volunteers including parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles to help us be successful. Volunteers help monitor our hallways, restrooms and cafeteria as well as read with students and/or help in classrooms. We encourage every member of our school community to get involved. Any amount of time is greatly appreciated! We have an amazingly active PTSA (Parent, Teacher, Student Association). The PTSA sponsors many after school events and our members contribute time and resources to make HPJH the best school possible. If you have any questions, concerns or are interested in volunteering and/or joining our PTSA, please contact us by leaving a message at (248) 658-2300 or by emailing our principal, Ms. Tammy Scholz, at tammy.scholz@hazelparkschools.org.

We are excited that you are part of our HPJH family and look forward to an incredible 2018/19 school year!
